After a short night in the youth hostel we came back to the caffe to load the van. We had a coffe with the owner Zeljko who is a nice biker and blues lover.

Then we drove in the mountains to Tuzla were we arrived nearly on time.

We met people from Tuzla Live association (Anes and Sale). There are young lovers of music who organise everything for musicians of Tuzla. Great job.

This time, We played in a real jazz club named the Goat. The owner is a piano teacher in Tuzla and a real jazzman. We had good time with him also.

The road from Mostar to Sarajevo follows a river between mountains, this is gorgeous.

We arrived one hour late ... as usual :p City is huge and astonishing.
We played in the Underground Cafe located in the old town which was crowded because of the Sarajevo Film festival.

There we met Annabelle from the French Institute, she really helped us organizing the tour in Bosnia. She introduced us to Mahir, percusionist from Bosnia. We all had a good meal in a great restaurant.
The Underground cafe was a nice blues jazz place for us, it was full of people for our show. We played with Mahir and everybody enjoyed. Then at one o'clock we started a crazy jam session with Sylvain Mustache on drums, Xavier Didier and Mahir Vip on percussion and the guitars. Two hours of pure energy and improvisation.

Then a long walk in Sarajevo by night with our new friends to go to the YMCA.

The day began with a great vegetarian soup prepared by our host Srdjan. It was nice to start the day in his quiet place. Then he took us to waterfalls near Mostar. We had a great swimming time in natural lake and jacuzzi under the waterfalls.

When we arrived in OKC Abrasevic, the cultural center where we played, we have been welcomed by the team (Tina, Nani, Goxi, Maria and crew) and we almost felt at home.

We strated to play at 10pm under the sky and many people came. The atmosphere was perfect for YAPA's music and it was maybe one ogf our best gig. Unfortunatly the recording failed and Sylvain almost comitted seppuku. As punichement he shaved his beautiful moustache.

After the gig we enjoyed the time with the people form Abrasevic and with our friend Aki who came from Banja Luka to see us. Aki finished Christophe with his home made sliva.

It was our first day without gig for 7 days. We were sad because one of the crew, Faustine, had to leave the adventure.

IMG-7602.jpg

Désolé Faustine, tu dois quitter l'aventure star-yapa :(

The day began with a walk in the touristic streets of Dubrovnik.

IMG-7601.jpg

After, we came back to the sea where we were last night and this time, it was a really pleasant time to swim : water was warm transparent, we jumped from the rocks, we were alone and it was a really good moment.

IMG-7605.jpg

Then we had a really intersting talk with Marco about Dubrovnik, the organisation of the Orlando club and the youth of the city.

IMGP0512.JPG

Before leaving to Mostar, we wanted to eat something and guess was we found ? Pizzas of course ;p

Border episode 2 : crossing of croatian to bosnian border.

First, we had to wait for the return of the croatian chief. Fortunately, this  border is perhaps the only border to have a bar so we had a little rest drinking beer.

But then after the moment the croatian chief came back and filed and stamped our papers for our music stuff, the bosnian chief had quit the border...

So they made us wait for a long time, intentionally speaking bosnian and tell us to go from one office to one another so as to finally ask for money to put in their pocket. They took fabrice and christophe in their office, the closed the door and asked for 500 euros. We laughed and proposed 30 euros. Then, they spoke to each other in Bosnian and had a big laugh. They proposed 100 euros... Finally we payed 50 euros and left the border after 1h30.

We arrived in the beautiful city of Mostar and had diner in front of the stone bridge.

We went then to the place of our friends in Ortijes where we were well welcomed by Srdjan and Tcina.

Then we had the longest night for a long time.

We quit Split tired as we had to carry all our stuff across the stoned walking streets of Split. Then we made a long but really beautiful road to Duvrovnik by the Adriatic Sea.

On the way we bougth 7 liters of homemade rakia with fruits. We had to taste every kind of rakia (Strawberry, cherry, loza, trabarica ...)

Arrived in club Orlando of Dubrovnik (This time, Simon found the way very easily), we had the pleasure to find that they built a new stage outside the club and a new cocktail bar outside. It was a perfect place for Yapa. The gig was really good because all the public was quiet and attentive. We had good time and fun with organisators Marco and Bojan.

IMGP0469.JPG

We met there Pauline (Simon's sister) and Karine and tried to make a midnight bath in the sea but in looked too dangerous because of the rocks.

After a great BBQ with Marin, we spent a nice afternoon playing backgammon and guitar. Then we drove to SPlit where we got lost and turn around one hour and an half to find the harbour parking (Thank you Simon, you were a great help to us since it was the third time you came in Split ...)

IMGP0436.JPGAfter a "schlag night" in the ground of the former tobacco factory, we went to the blue lake of Imotski, one of the deepest lake in europe, to swin and wash our sticky bodies.

Then we drove to Kastel Stari, near Split in the Trecis Vijet coffee owned by Marin. A very beautiful place :

This day began difficult because we drove 8 hours to go to Imotski.

A little video of simon during the trip : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vm0jWzfhjIM

The gig was organized by Umi, a croatian association of young people which reminded us our own "Sauce Dibim". They squat a former tobacco factory: On the ground floor they've created a live concert place, and on the first and second floor, exhibition places. We played outside, just in front of the building. A hundred of people were there and they really enjoyed the show.

Waiting for Xavier ....

After we were taken to a discotheque in the center of Imostski. We met here a lot of people who saw us before on stage. We stayed till 5 in the morning and saw our first tour sunrise. Thanks to Jela and Rajko. Hope we will come back soon.

First real border out of UE to go to Croatia. It was really long to cross it (about one hour, see the picture).

IMGP0313.JPG

We were sad to leave Metelkova in Ljubljana because we began to feel at home. But arriving to Bale was really a great surprise (the gig was arranged by our friend Aki from Bosnia). This village is simply gorgeous: it's a three thousand years old fortified place. Very peaceful and an inexpectable jazz club inside of this walls.

Tomislav, our nice host, cooked us a great diner. We tasted an amazing cheese fro the island Pag. The atmosphere of place was really good, we played by the light of candles (in the wind : Fabrice Joke, sorry).

Good show, after we met friends from all over the world. Thanks to Mario, Irina and Tomislav who invites us to come back an entire week next year.

We played this night in Ljubljana at the Trnfest festival. It was a big stage but we were afraid of the rain. Fortunately, it stopped half an hour before the beginning of the show and many people came (500 according to us).

Good news, everything was alright with the recording, sylvain made a great sound and we set up the stage in one hour : tour record !

By the way, we had an article in the DNA french newspaper about our strasbourg show (thanks Pascal). You can view it in the day one article.
